Wines and Olive’s oils Around Aix

Numerous vineyards dot the foothills of Mont Sainte-Victoire and the Cengle plateau near the Cézanne Route. Some of the wines are so famous that King René drank them in the fifteenth century. King Edward VII of England came incognito to attend wine tastings four centuries later, and – more recently – they were even served to General De Gaulle. Today, you can discover them at tastings at two of Aix’ bucolic domaines.

Provence is also known for its characteristic and fruity olive oil, and we’ll end our discovery of the Pays d’Aix, Cézanne and Mont Sainte-Victoire with an olive.
